Jeff Gradener (1964) studied biology and chemistry at the Teacher training college in Utrecht (SOL) and chemical biology (Msc) at the Utrecht University. Jeff has been working in various (teacher) roles since 1987 in Secondary and Higher education. Since 1993 he has been a teacher educator at the Archimedes Institute of the Hogeschool Utrecht. In this role he has been involved in various innovative projects for the design, introduction and supervision of contemporary and modern education, and teaching and supervision of Bachelor's and Master's students. Since 1 September 2017 Jeff has been a member of the research group at the research group "Didactics of science and technology education" under the supervision of professor dr. Elwin Savelsbergh.

Jeff is particularly interested in the sustainable training of widely employable science teachers. Within the professorship, he would like to deepen further into what teachers in their study program need to be successful in developing, implementing and implementing contemporary and interdisciplinary education.
