Jeroen Berendsen MSc (1955) is since September 2012 a research fellow at the research group Financial and Economic Consulting in Innovation.

Within this Research Group he investigates the new role of the auditor. In his research, called "Franchising as a new corporate entity for auditors", he looks at how auditors should be organized in order to be ready for the future.  He investigates in particular if the franchising business model could be used as a suitable alternative to the partnership model, which is now, in almost all cases, in use.

He worked 23 years for McDonald's in several European countries as Financial Director and Operations Director. After that he joined Domino's Pizza where he was three years Managing Director of their Netherlands operation.

In 2006 he joined the part-time Management department of the HU were he is the coordinator of the Business economics department where he teaches several courses.

Jeroen graduated with distinction as a Master of Finance at TiasNimbas business school.
