Doel en doelgroep:
1) To make homecare and hospital nurses and nurse aides aware of the importance of a good nutritional status in elderly by means of an innovative workplace learning activity at the workplace.
2) Equip homecare and hospital nurses and nurse aides with state-of-the-art (practical) knowledge about various important themes concerning the nutritional status of frail elderly.
3) Gain insight into the scope of experiences and potential benefits of learning with an innovative workplace learning activity.

Relevantie voor de beroepspraktijk/maatschappelijke relevantie:
Raising awareness and equipment of knowledge about nutrition and malnutrition in the elderly among nurses and nurse aides and possible change the way and degree of nursing practice concerning nutrition and malnutrition in the elderly.

Various partners are involved in this project: University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Research Group Basic Care Revisited, AxionContinu, Careyn, UMC Utrecht and St. Antonius Hospital.


Results of this study are used as a building block for the intervention to be developed. Results of the research will be presented at participating organizations and one or more conferences. Possible extension of the research after this pilot.
