Exploring the boundaries of journalism

Duration: 2018 - 2019

What is journalism and who is a journalist? These definitions are under discussion in a rapidly changing digital media landscape. The University of Groningen and JournalismLab start an interdisciplinary network of journalists and media makers in collaboration with the creative industry (Vers Pers and A-lab) and analyze the organization, method and productions they make for different clients.

Within the project, which lasts until the end of 2019, the central question is: What do we mean by journalism today and how do story tellers define their role as journalists? When are you still a journalist and when not? Is there a limit?
