Objective and target group of the project
The Points of Interest (PoI) project generates new applications for the Pebble (smart watch). A proof of concept is also being realized. The target group is made up of consumers who have purchased a smart watch.
Professional / social relevance
Greenberry is a digital communications agency that is at the forefront of finding applications for new products and digital capabilities. They describe this as follows: “We are Greenberry. Collaborating with the Process Innovation and Information Systems research group offers Greenberry the chance to experiment with new developments with minimal commitment.
Relevance to education
The project is being carried out by students at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht as part of the minor in Virtual & Social Networks and under the guidance of the Process Innovation and Information Systems research group. The project offers students the opportunity to work with new technology and develop business models.

Results / products: use the Pebble to discover your city using the Points of Interest app. If you are exploring in the city and you come across a point of interest (e.g. an interesting building), the Pebble can give you more information about it.
